Tablet PC Notes from CES - Day 1
- I played with a prototype Motion Computing 12” Tablet PC that supported both touch and pen (Vista required) – very cool. It alternates between pen and touch based on whether you are using the pen or not. It looks just like the LE1600. Responds very well to touch. It was a very nice surprise to see that prototype being demoed publicly
- I played with the LS800 – I’d use it as a car device when it supports both touch and pen
- Future Toshiba release – think R200 and M300. video card? shakes head ----
- I played with the OQO Tablet PC Edition – nice, but still too slow. I’d prefer the LS800 as a portable device.
- The Acer C200 has a beautiful device. Before seeing it, I didn’t think I would like it, but I actually liked it a lot. A little thick, but still nice.
- I played with the Fujitsu P1510D – It felt very nice to hold. Very light. I had a lot of inking problems due to resting my hand on the screen even slightly too hard. Wouldn’t buy one.
